Bible-with-cross

2021 was a year full of uncertainties and hurdles. But as the world enters its third consecutive year of the pandemic, we should all look at God’s Word for hope.

Most people aim to hit the metaphorical “reset button” during the New Year with countless self-directed resolutions. Instead of forgetting those resolutions by February, we should commit to strengthen our connection with God and become happier.

Here are some Bible Verses that will help us focus on loving God this year.

Verse That Reminds Us of The Lord’s Plan

Jeremiah 29:11 is a compelling reminder of God’s plan for us. In this Verse, the Lord declares that He always has a plan for us in store. This Verse reminds us that we all need to place our faith and hope in the Lord’s plans.

Though we face many hurdles, we should look to God for guidance. Instead of wandering aimlessly in life, we should seek God’s assistance through prayer. So, if you’re struggling with uncertainty, take it to God, and ask Him where He wants you in life.

Verse That Reminds Us to Spread Love

In Matthew 22:36-40, the Lord reminds us to love Him with all our heart and soul. And to love our fellow human beings as we love ourselves. This is a powerful message to focus on when the world is full of uncertainties. Even if we’re unsure of everything, we should spread love and cheer.

If we love God and others like Jesus told us to, we’ll spend our time and energy on things that truly matter in the world. So, instead of being fearful, we can work on our spiritual health and connections.

Verse That Reminds Us Not to Be Anxious

It’s easy to fall into the pit of negativity and anxiousness. But when we sense that sinking feeling, it’s time to turn to the Lord. Philippians 4:6 is a powerful reminder that we shouldn’t be anxious about anything. And instead of falling into a pit of despair, we should reach out to God through our prayers.

Moreover, this verse reminds us to be thankful for what we have so we can focus on keeping God at the center of our existence.

Verse to Find Solace in Jesus

Even when we feel afraid and lost in the dark, we can find comfort in Jesus. His sacrifice saved us from our sins and showed us the depths of His love. By reading 1 Peter 1:3, we can remind ourselves that the Lord is merciful. He shows us compassion and forgiveness. With this verse in mind, we can tackle any hurdles that challenge us.
