A Christian cross

If you’re a Christian and have read the Bible, then chances are you know the story of Adam and Eve. Most of us know that Adam and Eve were the first of God’s creations. But do you know there are lessons in that story? Unless they’ve studied the Bible carefully, most people don’t using bible study tools and resources.

Read this article to learn lessons from the story of Adam and Eve.

1.    Only Trust God’s Plan

According to the story, Eve is innocent until she gives in to her temptation, trusts a talking snake, and consumes the forbidden fruit with Adam. That’s when God punishes them.

The lesson here is to never give in to temptations. Never put blind faith in people, things and objects because they are temporary and can deceive you. God is the only One you should put your trust in. Moreover, keep the Word of God close to you and stay away from what God forbids you from.

2.    You Are Here For a Purpose

Imagine if God decided not to create humans. He already had other creations, including plants, animals and angels. But he made human beings His most divine creation.

Hebrews 2:10 states:

For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all thingsin bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.”

We learn that God created man in His image. We were not created simply to exist and die. Instead, each of us is born for a divine purpose and unlimited potential. In fact, the Bible tells us that the kingdom of God exists within man.

3.    Beware Of Your Enemies

The story tells us that even though Eve was innocent, she gave in to her temptations and ended up getting manipulated by the devil.

How many times have you found yourself in a similar situation? When you think about going to church or doing your daily bible study, Satan distracts you with stuff like entertainment and alcohol.

A Christian knows that Satan is man’s ultimate enemy, and we should be careful of his trap.
